Concretely speaking， being a current university man/college man，we have the duty to ourselves，to our families，as well as to the society and our country.
The sense of responsibility for nowaday students has been raising clearly.
Though they have the higher standard on the development of self-design， self-realization， are still some problems. Such as unconscious of responsibility for family，love，marriage，work， collectivity，cooperation and other.
In one word， the sense of responsibility is being exalted， but the sense of social duty should be enhanced.
Below is the reason for the students lacking in responsibility:
First，the direct communication between the students and the society is less and less.
Second，the tache of communication between the students and society are not smoothly.
They can not understand the society well through the limited social activities they can get ，they can not have the high sense of responsibility to the society.
Third，the sub-culture prevails on the campus. The multicultures and internet cultures are also coming into their own， many of them are literature and movieish production with dark color of individualism and latitudinarianism. Being into contact with them for long， you may get extreme ideology， for example， thinking too much of idio-success and idio-failure， individual recept， so as to ignore the collective advantage.
Being a current university man， you have already been and had to be the responsibility main body. Because you’ve had attainder and civic consciousness， you must have the duty consciousness and know the relation between the right and the duty.
Being a current university man， you must know what’s success and what’s happiness.
What’s happiness? It’s not concerned how much money you have earned， now it’s not strange that a millionaire ’s a real happiness for people who has a peaceful and simpatico heart.
And what is success? It’s not becoming a president or a famous star， those are in the minority. where the shoe pinches is that you have a sound constitution ， a fine personality and also a career which you are falling over yourself for. The students must have an idea to develop a fine personality. Of course， there must be many difficulties and problems when you are trying . You need a profound consciousness and strong willpower to face and deal with these problems ， difficulties and venture.

At present, some colleges and universities permit their students to select lecturers of some courses by themselves. After all, some teachers are very boring and some required subjects are probably not very practical.
Several fundamental factors are considered when students selecting their lecturers. First and foremost, a good instructor should be able to interest and motivate their classes. Students will learn more quickly and thoroughly from a teacher who makes the subject matter come alive for them. What is more, an outstanding tutor should spend time and energy organizing and preparing the lessons.
Good as selecting lecturers is, it also has its own disadvantages. On the one hand, if students can choose their own curriculum, they can generally do better in subjects that interest them. On the other hand, given the high pressure to make good grades, many students will misuse the opportunity and naturally choose the easier subjects rather than the harder ones. It is high time that we attached importance to this issue.

Everyone has goals. Many people do not reach their goals for lack of planning. These three sets of goals should be developed: lifetime, intermediate and short term. Lifetime goals should be written out. These goals should be clear and reasonable. For instance, the goal to win a research prize is clear and measurable. Other lifetime goals might include publishing a certain number of influential books or articles, earning a departmental chairmanship at a major university, successfully competing for a grant from the National Science Foundation or securing a consultantship with a big corporation.
Intermediate goals relate to outcomes during the next few years. For the beginning doctoral student, intermediate goals may include completion of course work and preparation of a doctoral research proposal. Like lifetime goals, these are measurable and clearly stated.
Short-term goals involve outcomes expected during the next 12 months. These goals are more performance oriented, and they help with achievement of intermediate goals. Examples of short-term goals are earning an A in a course, learning how to program a computer or performing an experiment.
When talking about the topic which is more important, ability or good looks,different people have different opinions.
In those eld man's eyes,they thought ability is more important than good old saying goes,good looks cann't full one's you do,you must have the ability in it,whenever in the past or today.

As we know, many people favor the idea that the college life is free and comfortable, but I’d like to say it’s not true. As a matter of fact, my life in university is so busy that I wonder if my energy is enough. As to my college life, I divide it into four parts, including study, student activities, library and the others.
Firstly, I want to talk about the study. In my opinion, study is the priority in college. When I received the letter of admission in summer, I knew clearly that what I should do. So I make up my mind to study hard and pursue learning as much as possible. I’m greatly convinced that knowledge can change my life. Therefore, I often go to the quiet study room where many people study there. By working so hard, I get good grades in the exams.
Secondly, student activities play an important role in our college life. To be honest, the student Union is a good place where one can develop social skills, get his abilities trained. I take part in many student activities. For example, I’ m a volunteer, teaching the kids to learn to dance and write. I think it’s meaningful for everyone to give a hand to others. I can also do some jobs in the Student Union, including receiving and sending fast mail, selling papers and magazines. I think they’re unforgettable and worthwhile experiences for me.
Thirdly, I also visit the library constantly. It’s said that “shelves of books, oceans of knowledge”, so I read books that I’m interested in. In this way, I can share stories with my new friends and it also changes my horizons .When I’m sad, lost or in trouble, staying the library makes me quiet and comfortable. After all, every life has bad moments as well as good ones, and the library for me is a support in bad moments. So it’s wise choice for me to stay in the library.
Finally, I often do other things in my spare time. In order to alleviate parents’ burden, I often do some part-time jobs and write some articles to earn money. It helps me to be independent and improve my social skills.
In short, my life in university is busy but valuable. You can see that study brings me knowledge, student activities improve myself, library changes my horizons, the others things make me independent. They get all my abilities trained. And I see that the chance will come only if you have a prepared mind, so I’m sure that I can achieve my dreams in college life.
What animals mean to human being, close friends or lists of recipe? Some people consider that animals should be regarded as friends instead of food or sources of clothing, while the opponents think animals are born to service for human being.
As far as I am concerned, I advocate the former's opinoin. There are two main reasons for that. First of all, it is known that more and more rare animals are endangered, because of the human being's capture. People peel off the animals' skin to make coats and use their further to make clothes, even eating the meat of extinct animals and don't care whether the food is delious or not, only because it is rare and not easily available. Which definitely leads to the extinction of certain animals. On the other hand, with the development of civilization, people should acknowledge that every creature has its right to live. Which guaranteea the harmony of the earth. Thus people need to show their respect to the animals and let them live better instead of hurting them or killing them. This behavior should be forbidden in today's civilized circumstance.
In conclusion, presently animals are no longer regarded as sources of food and clothing. In stead, animals are people's close friends who can company people especially to the olders who always like rearing the pets with whose company the olders don't feel lonely any more. For those animals who are disapearing, people need to pay more attention to them to aviod their extinction. Otherwise people could only see them in museum, not in the nature. What a pity.
have you ever known a married couple that just didnt seem as though they should fit together -- yet they are both happy in the marriage, and you cant figure out why?
i know of one couple: he is a burly e-athlete who, in addition to being a successful salesman, coaches little league, is active in his rotary club and plays golf every saturday with friends. meanwhile, his wife is petite, quiet and a complete homebody. she doesnt even like to go out to dinner.
what mysterious force drives us into the arms of one person, while pushing us away from another who might appear equally desirable to any unbiased observer?
of the many factors influencing our idea of the perfect mate, one of the most telling, according to john money, professor emeritus of medical psychology and pediatrics at johns hopkins university, is what he calls our love map -- a group of messages encoded in our brains that describes our likes and dislikes. it shows our preferences in hair and eye color, in voice, smell, body build. it also records the kind of personality that appeals to us, whether its the warm and friendly type or the strong, silent type.
in short, we fall for and pursue those people who most clearly fit our love map. and this love map is largely determined in childhood. by age eight, the pattern for our ideal mate has already begun to float around in our brains.
when i lecture, i often ask couples in the audience what drew them to their dates or mates. answers range from shes strong and independent and i go for redheads to i love his sense of humor and that crooked smile, thats what did it.
i believe what they say. but i also know that if i were to ask those same men and women to describe their mothers, there would be many similarities between their ideal mates and their moms. yes, our mothers -- the first real love of our lives -- write a significant portion of our love map.
when were little, our mother is the center of our attention, and we are the center of hers. so our mothers characteristics leave an indelible impression, and we are forever after attracted to people with her facial features, body type, personality, even sense of humor. if our mother was warm and giving, as adults we tend to be attracted to people who are warm and giving. if our mother was strong and even-tempered, we are going to be attracted to a fair-minded strength in our mates.
the mother has an additional influence on her sons: she not only gives them clues to what they will find attractive in a mate, but also affects how they feel about women in general. so if she is warm and nice, her sons are going to think thats the way women are. they will likely grow up warm and responsive lovers and also be cooperative around the house.
conversely, a mother who has a depressive personality, and is sometimes friendly but then suddenly turns cold and rejecting, may raise a man who becomes a dance-away lover. because hes been so scared about love from his mother, he is afraid of commitment and may pull away from a girlfriend for this reason.
while the mother determines in large part what qualities attract us in a mate, its the father -- the first male in our lives -- who influences how we relate to the opposite se. fathers have an enormous effect on their childrens personalities and chances of marital happiness.
just as mothers influence their sons general feelings toward women, fathers influence their daughters general feelings about men. if a father lavishes praise on his daughter and demonstrates that she is a worthwhile person, shell feel very good about herself in relation to men. but if the father is cold, critical or absent, the daughter will tend to feel shes not very lovable or attractive.
in addition, most of us grow up with people of similar social circumstances. we hang around with people in the same town; our friends have about the same educational backgrounds and career goals. we tend to be most comfortable with these people, and therefore we tend to link up with others whose families are often much like our own.
what about opposites? are they really attracted to each other? yes and no. in many ways we want a mirror image of ourselves. physically attractive people, for eample, are usually drawn to a partner whos equally attractive.
robert winch, a longtime sociology professor at northwestern university, stated in his research that our choice of a marriage partner involves a number of social similarities. but he also maintained that we look for someone with complementary needs. a talker is attracted to someone who likes to listen, or an aggressive personality may seek out a more passive partner.
its rather like the old, but perceptive, saying on the subject of marriage that advises future partners to make sure that the holes in ones head fit the bumps in the others. or, as winch observed, its the balancing out of sociological likenesses and psychological differences that seems to point the way for the most solid lifelong romance.
however, there are instances where people of different social backgrounds end up getting married and being etremely happy. i know of one man, a factory worker from a traditional irish family in chicago, who fell in love with an african american baptist. when they got married, their friends and relatives predicted a quick failure. but 25 years later, the marriage is still strong.
it turns out that the woman was like her mother-in-law -- a loving and caring person, the type who rolls up her sleeves and volunteers to work at church or help out people in need. this is the quality that her husband fell for, and it made color and religion and any other social factors irrelevant to him.
or as george burns, who was jewish and married the irish catholic gracie allen, used to say: his marriage was his favorite gig, even though it was gracie who got all the laughs. the two of them did share certain social similarities -- both grew up in the city, in large but poor families. yet what really drew them together was evident from the first time they went onstage together. they complemented each other perfectly: he was the straight man, and she delivered the punch lines.
there are certainly such odd couples who could scarcely be happier. we all know some drop-dead beautiful person married to an unusually plain wallflower. this is a trade-off some call the equity theory.
when men and women possess a particular asset, such as high intelligence, unusual beauty, a personality that makes others swoon, or a hefty bankroll that has the same effect, some decide to trade their assets for someone elses strong points. the raging beauty may trade her luster for the power and security that come with big bucks. the not-so-talented fellow from a good family may swap his pedigree for a poor but brilliantly talented mate.

事务信函概述
不同的事务信函要达到的目的各不相同，例如求职信、拒聘信、
询问信、投诉信等等。事务信函书写的好坏关系到事务洽谈的成败。因此，写事务信函时，要具有高超的驾驭语言的.能力，按固定格式写。
事务信函的格式由八个部分构成：
发信人公司名称和地址（信头）；收信人公司名称和地址（信内地址）；称呼；信体；结束语；落款；发文编号；附言.
● 信头包括发信人所在单位的名称、地址、邮政编码、电话、电传、电子邮件信箱及发信日期，写在信纸的右上方。
● 信内地址包括收信人所在单位的名称或收信人的地址，必须同左边的空白处取齐，与信头间隔二行至四行的距离为佳。

Along with the growth of so-called “empty nestles”, which means the young birds have flown away and only the old are left alone, young parents are living with their own nuclear families. It goes without saying that the collapse of big families and prevalence of smaller ones are the result of our times. It is a time when people think highly of individual freedom and happiness. Young people like to have a space all alone to themselves. Even the elderly people would like to live separately from their children to enjoy a quieter and more peaceful life, taking the view that having reared many children, they have no obligations to nurture the third generation. Likewise, young parents, living in their own house, have their own way to educate their child, free from the worry that the grandpa or grandma would spoil their grandson. At weekend or on holidays they would make a point of visiting their parents, bringing the child along. After a happy reunion of the family now and then, every member cannot wait for the next one. This arrangement not only shuns the unavoidable conflicts between generations but also becomes a sweet memory. With the progress of the society, problems of old age and childcare have been socialized gradually. Senior citizens can live together and be taken good care of by specialized nurses. Childcare center also provides good service for small children. All these free the young people from unnecessary burden and thus they can work well and make greater contributions to the society in the end. Therefore, I have every reason to believe that this trend of families in reduced size is agreeable to our times. To create a brighter future, we should do our best to build our society into one in which every member lives healthily and harmoniously.

Finally, lets think about the low-income groups in the city. What will they get from the olympics bidding? more ta, more fees, more epensive property prices, and higher cost of living. These definitely are not good news for them.
