Last summer holiday, I took a trip to Yunnan. It is in the southern part of our country .It is really a very beautiful place grand mountains, clean rivers and kind people. Trees and flowers are seen everywhere. Every year there are lots and lots of visitors.
Maybe you have heard about Shi Lin (stone forests). There are all kinds of strange stones. Some of the small stones look like graceful girls; and the big stones look like handsome men. Other stones look like cats, peafowls, double-edged swords, mice, elephants and so on. Of all the stones, the stone like a beautiful girl in a legend is the most famous .Its name is A Shima.
I also went to Li Jiang. The roads in that city are just like the Eight Diagrams. Any road in the city goes to the center of Li Jiang. A river runs through the whole city. If you go along the river, you'll never get lost. There are many ethnic minority people in Yunnan. They are very cordial. And they all like singing and dancing. We danced with them around the campfire that night. I really had a good time.
I like the elephants and fruits there best. An elephant is even taller than me! I even mounted the elephant, though I was very afraid at first. But the elephant seemed very friendly. I took some photos with it. The fruits there are very fresh and delicious. They are very good for our health.

It is a celebrating day. I got in touch with Michael whom I have been losing contact for one year.
It is really magic. I was searching online aimlessly yesterday when an idea struck me suddenly: since Ben can find out my secret by keying in my name in the search engines, why can’t I do so, either?
I intended to find out something about Ben in revenge in the first place, but soon extend my name list to a wider category. It was then that I recalled Michael suddenly.
We have lost contact since our last correspondence in my senior 3. He mentioned to me in his last letter that he was preparing for going to UK to further his education. I, shamefully, was too busy to reply his mail then. When I was recommended to ZJU and won the final freedom, I thought he had already been in UK so I had no idea where to write him.
I used to think that we would never meet again. However, when I browsed the entries about him, I found out excitedly that he is still in .!!
Without a moment hesitation, I ran upstairs to my dorm and found out my old address book. Thank goodness, his home no was still there.
After 3 times calling with no answer replies, I eventually got him on the phone. He was more surprised than I could imagine that when I asked for his hp no he was too nervous to remember it. :P Hehe.
Life is enjoyable in moments such like this. Old friends meet again surprisingly, on a road of their own ways to their dreams. they look at the face of each other, and recognize the old pal. It is such moment that makes me feel grateful to life: whenever I set off for a new destination, I see I have friends in the same direction, with whom I won’t feel alone any more.
I love to travel the all my travels I have seen many grand sights and sounds,and every one of them was unforgettable.
However,of all the places Ive seen,the city of Hong Kong left the deepest impression in my mind.
It was an wonderful experience seeing a city so close yet so different.
Hong Kong with its mixture of different peoples from different backgrounds is a change from my hometown,its impressive high rise buildings and the kindness of it inhabitants were awe-inspiring.
The city lights at night rivaled any fireworks display Ive ever seen.

As far as I am concerned, something must be done to stop this illegal act. Nature reserves ought to be built so as to offer more living space to wildlife. What s more, we should never have wild animals for food, as they are part of environment.
With the approachment of life in university, choosing a suitable dorm becomes a hot topic among the freshmen.
As far as I am concerned, renting a flat close to the university will be a smarter choice. Compared with school dorm, although the cost of 800 yuan per month is an extra load for the parents, it gives you more freedom as you live alone. Brave and independent as I am, I will be satisfied with this way of live. In addition, while the school dorm only provides one restroom on each floor, I can enjoy a comfortable bath in the flat. What comes last is that you will never bother anybody or be bothered by others. Since I am an early bird, I don't want my reading in the morning to be a nightmare of my dormmates.
In conclusion, renting a flat is my best choice. Of course you can make your own decision, and it all depends.
Most people believe that perfect outlook will bring good luck, those people who have good looking will get succeed easier than those who don’t. The fact is that not all the good looking people share good chances to become succeed. It is reported that the women who have perfect outlook are hard to get people’s acceptance, because people will treat the pretty women’s success as the lure of their bosses. This is most people’s impression about pretty women, they think the pretty girls don’t have special talent, people own their success to the pleasure of boss. While on the other hand, handsome men are easier to get people’s acceptance, the good looking will make men impress others, people admit the hand guys, for they think they are not only talented, but also attractive. We live in the world every day. We eat food, drink water, wear clothes, watch TV, use computers and so on. We are producing waste every moment.
Generally speaking, there are four sorts of waste. They are material waste, organic waste, inorganic waste and poisonous & harmful waste. Now, we are going to talk about each sort of waste one by one.
Material waste: it means the waste of substance or things from which something else can be made. For example, people throw away the used metal products and buy a new one, so the old metal waste accumulates. At last, they become waste. For example, when people finish reading newspaper, the paper will become waste. When the glass is broken, it also becomes waste. Nobody wants to use a broken window or drink with a broken glass or wear a pair of broken glasses. Once it is broken, it becomes waste. The rate of using plastics is increasing day by day. People use plastic bags because they are convenient. When they get home, they throw the plastics way, paying no attention to the environment. The more convenience plastics brings to us, the more plastic waste is produced. This is called white pollution as most plastics are white. Some of our products we use every day are made of rubber, just like the tyres and the bottom part of our shoes. It's true that rubber plays an important role in our life. However, it also brings us some trouble when it has been used for a long time and becomes old. The old tyres become waste because it can't break down by nature. This is really a big problem.
Organic waste: it refers to waste from living things, including waste from animals, plants and people. Some parts of vegetables are thrown away as waste because they don't taste good. In the past, people cooked their food using burning coal, so there left the burned coal, which is useless, like the thrown vegetables. All this sorts of waste contain organism, so it is called organic waste.
Actually, we also have inorganic waste, the opposite to organic waste, including building waste, broken pottery and china, and cinder.
The last part is harmful and poisonous waste, such as used batteries, electrical apparatus and medical supplies. Computers and TV sets are one part of electrical apparatus. You see, the old electrical apparatus can set off some dangerous rays and make the soil harder, even damage the under ground water. Mobile phones are as dangerous as computers and TV sets. As we know, X-rays can be used to examine patients, but the X-rays machines are dangerous when they are thrown away without any treatment. They can't be used to treat the sick, but they still can give off rays. For the normal people, they can be dangerous. So, we must think about this problem.
As waste has four sorts, we can sort them into each sort that they belong to. It's convenient to treat them after they are sorted. Then we can deal with them sort by sort. We have thought out some methods like storing them in order to change them into plant food, or burning them in a huge stove and use the heat to make electricity. For the first way, the change rate is much too low and it may pollute the under ground water. For the second one, of course it's wonderful if it's easy to be tried out. But to build such a huge stove will cost too much. Not a good method. Now you see, treating waste is not an easy job.
From what has been discussed above, we can do something to our home-the earth. We should make full use of things. At the same time, we'd better reduce its harmful effect as much as possible.
We can do from the basic of waste. That's to say, we can reduce the production of waste, and reuse and recycle them as much as we can. Take material waste for example. Nearly all of them can be recycled and reused. And, we should call for using things made of paper instead of plastics so as to protect our environment.
Protecting the environment is not one person's duty; it depends on all of us. What can we do? Maybe a dozen..
In a word, use what can reuse as much as possible. Remember, environment protection is not one's duty!
The first day of my high school, I was told that the freshmen would need to join the military training. I felt so scared, because in the summer days, the sun was so hot and I would be burned like a black man. But there was no way for the freshman to refuse to join the military training. The training lasted for a week, in the first two days, we stood under the hot sun, moving around the playground and song. It was tough, but in the coming days, we got used to it and started to enjoy the free time. All the students were like a group, we trained together, we sweated and played. In the evening, we would song in the playground. Now when I think of these days, I will smile and treat these military training days as the unforgettable memory in my life.

Generally speaking, there are two reasons for my decision. First, it is a good opportunity for me to relax myself, which will enable me to study more efficiently. Last Monday, my father would be on a business trip for five days. Each people all have own dream, so I also have their own dreams. And some of the dreams are hard to reach, some are very simple. My dream is to fulfill their own responsibility, maintained a kind heart and cook, these are my dream dreams.
Actually fulfill their duties and keep a good heart is not so easy to accomplish, it needs to refrain from anywhere at any time, don't temper tantrum, do their duty. There are many ways for us high school students to relax ourselves. As for me， when I feel stressed， I usually communicate with my friends， parents or teachers. Sometimes I will do sports with our classmates， such as riding bikes， going swimming and so on. I go to the movies or listen to light music in my spare time， too. What’s more， going on a trip in holiday is another way to make me relaxed. I believe， if we are more relaxed， we’ll live happier， be healthier and learn better.
My mother is the person I admire the most because she has the following good qualities. Firstly, she is a tolerant person. She will be tolerant to other people’s mistakes including mine.
When I make a mistake, she will let me know why I am wrong and how I am going to do to correct them, rather than simply punish me.
Secondly, she is such a talented person who not only has great achievements in her work, but also can cook delicious food for my dad and me.
Although she is very busy at her work, she still accompanies me see the film and go to parks on weekends.
When I was in high school, there was a teacher who taught me more than that in was a very kind boy, 4 or 5 years older than us and taught us geography.
We all liked to take his class, though geography was not our major course.
What impressed me a lot was his could see him always got angry only when we were too noisy in class,he often played soccer with used to be a very believable defender and never fouled on any of us.
We all liked to call him _Teacher Miao_ and he was just like a friend, not a sonsy personality inspired me to be kind to everyone I was my well-beloved _Teacher Miao_.
It is a fresh start. I came to the new city which is much different from myhometown, and I should be looking forward to it. The most important thing incommon with my area is group mountain ring around which let me familiar and be enthusiasticabout climbing.
Theprocess is not easy. Although the mountains is only 3 kilometers away from myschool as the crow flies, I have to go 25 kilometers more because the road isunder the road. The first problem to get rid before climbing is to go to thefront of the mountains by convenient means of transportation.
Climbing the highest mountain directly from the front is a challengingoption. I consider that I could climb the hills on the side, then follow themountains to a higher mountain, and finally climb the highest the road quality has increased, it seems to me that this alternativeis more feasible.
Forthis project, I need to purchase relevant equipment and spare enough time tosupport my mountaineering activities. It is one thing bothers me that we arenot restricted to travel because of the epidemic prevention. I believe that theday when the school opens is the day when I arrive at crest.
Nowadays, more and more people are easily get into troubles and gain pressure almost at every time. For students, most of them are studying under great pressure. For adults, nearly all of them feel stressed out. People of all ages are facing pressure because the growing competition. Theres no exception.
For pressure do cause a lot of trouble for our daily life. Its best for us to make some plans for reducing them. In my point of view, we should first have a right attitude towards failure. We should learn to face our disadvantages and mistakes. No one is if we draw lessons from failure can we improve ourselves. Then, we should take enough exercise to strengthen our body. To be healthy is the most important thing for standing pressure. Whats more, we can spend our holiday going sightseeing. Nature could help us forget all the troubles and relax better than ourselves. Then once we get back to our work or study, we can put all our energy into it.
From what has been discussed above, its really important to reduce pressure to live a more relaxing life. Lets just try our best to achieve a comfortable life.
Education plays a very important role in the modernization of our country. Without improving education, china will not be able to develop fast, to catch up with the developed countries technologically and economically, or to greatly improve the living standard of its people. Yet according to recent statistics(统计), there are over 2 million school-age children who can not go to school in the poor rural areas.
To help those poor kids go back to school, money seems to be the biggest problem. As there are thousands of things to be done in the construction of our country, our government simply does have enough money to help all those poor children in time. So a nation-wide drive(运动) called the “Hope Project” has been launched to help those children go back to school.
The “Hope Project” helps the government a lot financially(财政上). It also brings hope to the children who can not go to school only by depending on their parents. Therefore, I hope that more and more people join in the “Hope Project” to help the poor children.
