I used to be poor at English, especially in reading and writing which I consider extremely difficult. The biggest problem was that after reading a passage, I couldn’t fully understand it, which makes me feel very depressed and frustrated upset. But I kept on reading difficult English articles instead of just giving up. And I also practiced English writing whenever I had a by little , I made remarkable progress in English and gained a lot of confidence through my constant effort. As you can imagine , nothing makes me prouder than feeling my progress in English. IT snowed heavily last week in northern China. Big snows fell on Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, Ningxia and Xinjiang. For many cities, it was the biggest snowfall in 50 years. The snow made traveling hard. Many schools had to close for days.
Jia Aizhen, 14, lives in Taiyuan, Shanxi. She should have a mid-term test on Wednesday. Because of the snow, they had the test on Sunday instead.
It was good because we had more time to review our lessons, said Jia. She enjoyed the snow. It was as deep as 15cm and came to halfway up her leg. I felt peaceful and relaxed to see the white snowy world.
Kang Xinyi, 13, and Wang Danyang, 13, are classmates at Shijiazhuang No 43 Middle School in Hebei. Their school stopped on Wednesday. Kang said the snow in the yard was as deep as 40cm.

An Interesting ClassI am in primary school now, I have many lessons to learn from Monday to Friday, my favorite subject is English. Last week, my English teacher gave us a task, she asked us to make the presentation of our favorite English celebrity. I chose Avril Lavigne, she is my favorite singer, I have listened to her songs for many years. When I presented the singer, many of my classmates clapped their hands, because they like her, too. Then we share many things about Avril, I felt so happy in that class, it is so interesting, we talked happily, we share our common interest. I will never forget about that class, it causes my passion to learn English.
Growing up heathily is our duty. Every one of us should try our best to keepourselves healthy.
First of all, keep a balanced diet. We should eat a lot of vegetables and fruitevery day. Don’t eat junk food. Drink water instead of , get enough sleep and enough exercise. Early to bed and early torise help a lot to our health. Try to sleep eight or nine hours every night. Try toexercise every day or at least two or three times a week and relax ourselvesby listening to light music.
Besides the physical health, we also need friendship. We should try to getalong well with people around us. We can share our problems and happiness withthem. And we should often municate with our parents and teachers.
Communication plays an important part in our healthy lifestyle and municating well with others can help us grow up healthily.
But some students spend too much time playing puter games and some stay in net bars all day and all a result, they do worse and worse in their lessons andthey don’t study well any more. I think we shouldn’t goonline when it is time for us to study. We can do it in summer or winterholidays.

In recent years, my hometown has changed greatly, because of new road and railway has been built. Previously, my hometown was closed to the outside world. Several years ago, the government paid much money on changing the basic equipment of my hometown. Building new roads is the biggest project. It took about half a year to build the new road.
After finish, people have more methods to make money. And we have more communication with other places, which is a good way to develop ourselves. About two years latter, the railway was built. After that, there have been more and more changes happened in my hometown. Now, my hometown has developed into a big and rich town. People live a happy life.
Nowadays, working overtime is so common in many companies, especially in foreign companies, private companies, and joint ventures. As far as I am concerned, there are two main reasons of working overtime. For one thing, there is indeed too much work to do. If it is so, the boss should compensate staffs by paying them as overtime salary or giving them vacations.
For another, some staffs are not suitable for their positions. In that case, the boss ought to help them to improve their working efficiency. If they are still not qualified, boss may change the positions for them, or to the worst, dismiss them. Thats all what I think about working overtime.

I like to see movie so much, before I was in middle school, science fiction movie is my favorite movie, like Harry Potter, for which I read the books for not only one time. But as I grow up, I start to watch other types of movie, like horror movie. I was afraid of watching horror movie before, because I would think about the horrible plots at night, even in my dreams, I would dream about it.
